3.5"My first visit was great, but when I returned the next day to purchase the car, it was very frustrating. The woman helping me the first day was helping another customer which is completely fine, but someone else should have stepped in because I was waiting forever to even test drive the car again. I was tossed from person to person, including the manager who deserted me at one point, leaving me in the car, with the keys, but i was told to wait to drive it, and he never came back. It was almost an hour between when I arrived and when I was finally helped by the original woman from the previous day. 4.5"My appointment was for an oil change service only and made over the internet. The service advisors were all busy the morning of my appointmant so there was a several minute wait. When I did speak to a service advisor and told him what I was there for he inmmediately began "upselling" more servies like a fuel injector cleaning. He had not yet placed the key in the reader or opened up my account to get any details on the car or services perfomed in the last 6 months. When he took those steps all was fine. At the end of the appointment the car was ready and getting the attention of someone to take payment took several minutes. Until another Seattle MINI employee walked by and pointed out there was someone wating to pay did I get noticed. Overall the appointment was compleyed on time as promised. The staff was wonderful (loved the Brit's accent) and the fact that they washed the car was great. Our brake pads were replaced at under 24,000 miles. We have always received quality service at Seattle MINI, and Sasa's extended help is a prime example of this. Knowing that we were traveling from Idaho, he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs by squeezing us into the schedule on relatively short notice, providing a loaner car, and suggesting things to do in the area. He took his time with us, explained the issue and the work performed, and even answered some basic preventative maintenance questions. Best of all he made us feel like we were important and that he genuinely cared about our satisfaction. We felt that we took a risk in purchasing a MINI Cooper due to our distance from a MINI dealership; however, the service that we just receive from Sasa and the rest of the employees of Seattle MINI has eased our minds. Now we are so happy that we set aside our fears and took that risk, so that we can own the car that we LOVE and can trust that Seattle MINI will stand behind the brand and take care of their customers. Such service builds great relationships. We have been using this experience as an example of what customer service should be. I was asked to take the car home (monday) and bring it back Thursday to have the detail shop buff out the scratches. I got a call stating he scratches couldn't be buffed out so they were taking my car to an auto body shop. Get a call the following monday stating my car was ready, drove down only to find the scratches had not been fixed. Talked to the service manager and the manager for the auto body shop. He is excellent, I'd recommend him to anyone I know. He should be recognized by your Seattle Mini leadership as well as corporate leaders for his awesome customer service, his care and his deep knowledge on all variations of Mini cars. He was very convincing to sell me the new two-door Countryman but I'm still loving my 2011. I hope whoever reads this realizes that Sasa is what makes Mini great. 2.0"My car has run perfectly for this first 10 months. A joy to drive. Its more comfortable than some of our friends furniture. The IPhone to Stereo weird cable that is proprietary ti mini pretty much means I'll never use that. The car was approaching the one year checkup, had the intermittent yellow service indicator on at startup and I had a last minute urgent family need to drive to California so Service told me they could squeeze me in a week ago tuesday. (Thanks) they said to leave the car the entire day, so I had a two way cab ride to get home and picj it up. (cool). Tuesday Morning at 9AM I was called and told the car was done! Wow had I known the year check up was so simple I could have waited and saved $50 in cab fares, but I needed to be squeezed in. The next day I hop in the car and take off for California. Half way thru Oregon the yellow engine light came on. I called service and they said I probably didn't tighten the gas cap completely at the last fill, and I might take a day or so for the indicator to go off. Next gas stop I checked it, and the cap tight. Fast forward to now. Two out of five times the car will not start when I press the start key and I have to do it twice. 2 out of ten times the car won't start for 10 to 15 minutes. 3.0"The first time I called to make an appointment, I asked to have Mini replace my windshield due to rock damage. I was told Mini would want to keep it overnight, so plans were made for a loaner car and the date was set. I also asked to talk to a service advisor so I could learn what work would be done for that service interval (prepaid maintenance program). I was forwarded to someone's voicemail, left a message for the service advisor to call me, but no one returned my call. Then, after a week or so I decided to not have Mini replace my windshield and called back to cancel the loaner car. There was no record of my appointment in the system and after a long time of the receptionist trying to figure it out, the appointment had to be rescheduled for weeks later. I asked again to talk to a service advisor; a woman answered but would not give me any clear description of what was included in this service internal under the extended maintenance program. I then realized that I had been sold a prepaid contract that did not guarantee that Mini would do any of the work. I feel like it is a big ripoff and would never recommend that anyone buy a contract like this. On the positive side, the service representative I worked with when I brought it in was very professional and helpful." 4.5"The only thing that happened that would keep me from rating a perfect 5, was that when I came to pick the car up, the windshield wipers weren't already changed when I got there. I had asked for this to be done prior to me picking the car up, but it wasn't. Right before leaving, I noticed it wasn't done, so I walked right back in to ask about it, and luckily Raychel was kind enough to take care of this immediately. 3.5"I purchased my used Mini Cooper a few days before Christmas, and as soon as I got it home I realized that the drivers side, comfort access, unlock button, was not working. I scheduled an appointment; about a month later was the soonest slot that was available. The repair was handled very quickly and executed without issue, but I would have liked someone to acknowledge that I was sold a car that had a dysfunctional functionality. Instead of repairing and oversite and then thanking me for stopping in. I asked the service department if they could, in light of the broken handle, give me a break on buying some mats--they were unable to and directed me to the merchandise desk. The merchandise desk recommended that I visit the service department. When the two reps consulted with each other, they both agreed that neither had that authority and I could possibly check with sales or my salesman. I didn't feel like wasting any more time so I left.
